The U.S. Small Business Administration will hold a forum from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday at Rex's American Bar & Grill. The event is part of the Success Steps Luncheon series from SCORE at Colorado Mountain College.
Greg Lopez, Colorado district director for the small-business agency, will give the presentation. It will include information about resources the agency provides as well as American Recovery and Reinvestment Act programs.

Chamber hosts speed networking event
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is holding a speed networking event from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at The Boathouse Pub. The event allows businesspeople to make business connections. Tickets are $10 and include appetizers and drink tickets. Tickets are $25 for nonmembers.

Workshop on business reputation is Oct. 17
The Young Professionals Network and Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. have organized a workshop called "How to Manage Your Professional Reputation - What they're saying about you when you're not there." It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center.
Shari Harley will give the presentation. She runs Candor Matters, a Denver-based training and consulting business helping people manage their reputations and accelerate their careers.
Tickets are $25 for Young Professionals Network members and $50 for nonmembers. They're available at the Visitor Center, 125 Anglers Drive.
