— Yampa Valley Medical Center’s Family Birth Place staff is adding a sibling class to its childbirth education class offerings. The new class is free and will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 at the Family Birth Place on YVMC’s campus.

The class is available to children ages 2 and older and will answer questions for the soon-to-be big brother or sister such as: What do babies eat? Why do babies cry? How do I hold the baby? Parents and children will learn what kind of feelings they will experience when the baby comes home. Families also will receive a tour of YVMC’s new Family Birth Place.

The class is taught by YVMC Registered Nurses. Children need to bring a stuffed animal or doll. Call 871-2416 to register.
