Katy Vineyard Post: Thanks, Steamboat
Advertisement
I am writing this letter to thank a few Steamboat residents for their generosity. On Oct. 27, Cotopaxi Schools were honored to have Rachel’s Challenge present at our school. I couldn’t have brought this wonderful program to Cotopaxi without the generous donations made by my grandfather, Donald Lufkin, and my mother, Donna Vineyard.
When my aunt, Vikki Franz, and my father, Leonard Vineyard, heard about Rachel’s program, they also made a donation.
With school budgets tight, I am so fortunate to have such wonderful people in my life that they are willing to help fund a program that touched the lives of 150 students.
My only regret is that they were not there to meet Dana Scott, Rachel’s sister, and hear the amazing story of Rachel’s life and hear her challenge to the students to make a cultural change within their school.
For more information about Rachel’s challenge, you can visit www.rachelschallenge.org. Thank you and love you all!
