Desert Storm veteran Shane Yeager reflects on military service

When he returned from Kuwait, Shane Yeager couldn’t fit into his jeans. His legs were too big from running in the sand, mile after mile and day after day, while serving with the Marines in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the Persian Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm. Yeager is one of the many Routt County residents who sacrificed their time — and in some cases, lives — to serve our country.

Three Steamboat Springs girls hockey teams went to Aspen during the weekend to play in the Aspen Fall Face Off. The U-14 girls team finished second, losing to Aspen in the finals. U-19 and U-12 teams also played.
