Canine Connection group seeking new members
Steamboat Springs Yampa Valley Canine Connection is accepting applications for 20 new members. The nonprofit group provides a fun, club-style atmosphere for canine agility, Rally-O, good citizen testing and community giveback. Club areas include Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Craig. Last day to register for 2009 Energy Summit
Today is the last day to register for the 2009 "Fueling Thought" Energy Summit on Thursday and Friday at the Holiday Inn of Craig. The conference costs $159, the Thursday Energy Producer's Dinner cost $35, and the Saturday golf scramble costs $95. Speakers include former governors Richard Lamm and Bill Owens. Topics include "Global Demand for Energy and Minerals: Implications for Colorado," "The Future of Oil & Gas Development in Colorado," "Green Coal: The Low-Cost, Low-Carbon Alternative," and more.
