Steamboat briefs: Hayden library holding a book fair through May 18


— The Hayden Public Library is holding its annual Scholastic Book Fair during regular library hours through May 18. Books, gifts, school supplies, software and other items are available for purchase. There also is a contest to vote for your favorite American Idol contestant. The book fair helps the library purchase new books for children and young adults.

Master gardeners hosting clinics at 9 a.m. Thursdays

Routt County master gardeners are available to answer gardening and pest questions from the public from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays through June 11 in the Cooperative Extension Office, in the Routt County Courthouse Annex at 136 Sixth St. Call 879-0825 from 9 a.m. to noon, or stop by the office with your questions about weeds, pests, trees, vegetables and flowers.

Deadline for enrollment in CMC yoga class is today

Colorado Mountain College is offering a study of Anusara yoga from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to May 22, Mondays through Fridays, in the Colorado Mountain College gym. The cost is $45. Call 870-4444 to enroll by the end of business hours today.

Summer coed volleyball interest meeting is Monday

Anyone interested in playing in the city of Steamboat Springs' summer coed beach volleyball league is invited to attend an interest meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Office, 245 Howelsen Parkway.

The season begins in June and ends in late August with games on Monday evenings. League fees and schedule information will be covered at the interest meeting.
