Poogie's Place to sponsor new peer support group
A peer support group, sponsored by Poogie's Place, is forming for youths ages 12 and 15. The group will be for teens grieving the loss of a loved one. Group leaders will use a combination of talk and creative expression with the support of peers to facilitate the healing process. Tickets available for 'Charlie Brown' play
Tickets are available for a local adaptation of the Broadway musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," sponsored by Colorado Mountain College. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students or seniors, with cash only at Epilogue Book Co. and at the door. Performances are at 7 p.m. April 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. April 11 at the Steamboat Springs High School theater.
School seeking old skis, snowboards for bench
Hayden Middle School students in Partners in Routt County's after-school program are seeking out-of-commission snowboards and skis during April to help create a bench for the school. The group also is seeking supplies of colorful outdoor paint and 2-inch-by-6-inch boards about 6 feet long.

Applications sought for Teen of the Month award
The Steamboat Springs Optimist Club is accepting applications for its Teen of the Month program. Area high school students and those interested can pick up applications from their school counselors, or by calling Rob MacCarthy at 871-7179. The program culminates in a May recognition dinner for all the recognized teens and a scholarship for the Teen of the Year.
