Lending workshop set for 11:30 a.m. Friday
The final forum is Friday in the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association's Surviving and Thriving in Tough Times series. The event is titled: "Where's the Money? Local and Regional Lending Environment." State and local finance experts will lead the discussion for businesspeople.
Scheduled speakers are Ruth Dombrowski, business lending officer at Alpine Bank; June Walters, of NW COG Micro Loan fund; Pattie Snidow, USDA Rural Development northwest area director; and Randy Rudasics, who will discuss peer-to-peer lending and the Small Business Administration's stimulus program.
The event is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rex's American Grill & Bar. The cost is $18, and those interested may call the Chamber at 875-7003, or e-mail meagan@steamboatchamber.com.
Shuttle service Alpine Taxi becomes Go Alpine
Alpine Taxi has changed its name to Go Alpine. The 25-year-old airport shuttle and taxi service has joined with 40 other ground transportation companies to form Go Airport Shuttle, according to a news release. More information is at www.goairportshuttle.com.
The company also allows customers to offset carbon emissions with an optional 50 cent charge for a trip to or from Yampa Valley Regional Airport or $1 for a Denver International Airport trip, the release stated. Donations will go to the Colorado Carbon Fund.
Speed networking event scheduled for April 7
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is planning a speed networking event at 4 p.m. April 7 at the Boathouse Pub. The event is $10 for Chamber members, and people who want to attend are asked to e-mail meagan@steamboatchamber.com.
