Police recorded no arrests for driving under the influence, and Sgt. Dale Coyner, of the Steamboat Springs Police Department, said there were no significant bar fights during the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Steamboat Springs.
"The residents of Steamboat should be commended," Coyner said.
"I wouldn't say it's typical, but that's the way we like to have it."
Coyner said police had two extra cars on patrol during the evening and Capt. Joel Rae said police intended to take extra walks through bars throughout the night.
From 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., dispatch logs show about nine traffic stops in the county, all in Steamboat, but no major incidents in any bars or on the streets.
