VNA advises vaccinating children against the flu
Colorado is one of 16 states that reported widespread flu activity in the recent national report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for the week ending Feb. 7, according to the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. The VNA is advising parents of children younger than 5 to completely vaccinate their children against flu. That may mean two flu vaccines at least four weeks apart. The flu vaccine still is available for children and adults, according to the VNA. Call the VNA at 879-1632 for appointments and drop-in clinic times.
