Steamboat Springs 7:26 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from Old Fish Creek Falls Road where a car was driving up the bike path. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
9:54 a.m. Identity theft was reported in the 1700 block of Kamar Plaza where a person's Social Security number had been used to gain employment in Florida.
10:06 a.m. An assault was reported on Creekbank Court where people had been pushing and shoving during an argument. There were no injuries. The parties decided to resolve the matter civilly.
10:07 a.m. Fraud was reported in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle where a man was caught using another person's ski pass. Police issued a theft summons.
11:27 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a possibly suicidal woman in Steamboat Springs. She was transported via ambulance to Yampa Valley Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
1:12 p.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle where a man was caught stealing alcohol at a restaurant. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested the man on two outstanding warrants - one for driving under restraint and one for public urination.
1:23 p.m. Theft of electronic equipment was reported in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. Police are investigating.
3 p.m. Trespassing was reported on East Maple Street where a boy was on school property without permission. He was issued a summons.
3:34 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue where a car struck the side-view mirror of a city bus. There was no damage to the bus.
3:52 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported on Routt County Road 33 where a female cyclist reportedly was struck by an erratic driver. The cyclist had minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Steamboat police located the driver, who allegedly also struck two parked cars in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue. The driver, a 20-year-old Steamboat Springs man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, hit-and-run causing injury, careless driving causing injury and driving without a license.
3:59 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Routt County Sheriff's Office.
4:25 p.m. Theft of art was reported from an art gallery in the 1000 block of 13th Street. The pieces in question had been picked up by a third party at the artist's request but without the gallery's knowledge. No theft had occurred, according to police.
5:51 p.m. A possible fire was reported in the 800 block of West Jefferson Avenue in Hayden where an electric stove burner was smoking. After the burner was turned off, everything was fine, according to West Routt Fire Protection District officials.
6:21 p.m. Possible vandalism was reported on 13th Street where a sign was on the ground. It was unclear whether the sign had been knocked down or simply rusted out, according to police. The sign was reinstalled Wednesday.
6:36 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive where two men were arguing at a laundromat. One of the men's children reportedly had grabbed the other man's cell phone, starting the fight.
6:36 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of West Main Street in Oak Creek where a man was hitchhiking and mumbling to himself. He was gone when Sheriff's Office deputies arrived.
7:26 p.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 2400 block of Pine Grove Circle where a woman heard but did not see cars racing in the area. Police were unable to locate any vehicles racing.
7:40 p.m. A possible drunken driver was reported at Elk River Road and Lincoln Avenue where a driver was weaving. Law enforcement officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
8:08 p.m. A restraining order violation was reported in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.
8:22 p.m. An animal complaint was received from the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue where a dead cat was in the road.
8:41 p.m. A dog bite complaint was received from Tamarack Drive where a man was bitten by his own dog.
