Lake Village subdivision negotiations continue

The Town Board on Thursday unanimously agreed to enter into settlement negotiations with the construction company about the state of the Lake Village subdivision. Attorney Malcolm Murray said the settlement could be reached by the end of the week if some details are worked out.

Steamboat briefs: Totally Kids extends soccer registration deadline

Hayden's Totally Kids program has extended to Wednesday the deadline for soccer registration. The registration fee is $25. If you are between the ages of 5 and 14 and you want to play soccer in Hayden this summer, call Carolyn at 276-9246.

Pueblo firefighter remembered

Capt. Richard Mark died in Steamboat while on fundraiser trip

Capt. Richard Mark, of the Pueblo Fire Department, was remembered Monday as an active, dedicated firefighter by his friends and fire chief. Mark died of an apparent heart attack Friday at Yampa Valley Medical Center while he was visiting Steamboat Springs for a muscular dystrophy fundraiser.
