Paving projects are under way through Wednesday
Steamboat Springs The milling and paving of Whistler Road that began Monday is scheduled to continue until Wednesday. The project is causing minor traffic delays and the rerouting of bus routes. Projects on Mount Werner Circle and AprÃs Ski Way were completed earlier this week. For information about bus stops and routes, call Steamboat Springs Transit at 879-3717. Board of Realtors deadline for scholarships is June 26
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors is awarding Renewable College Scholarships to past Board of Realtors scholarship recipients. Visit www.ssbr.org for application guidelines, or call the Board of Realtors at 879-4663, ext. 12. The deadline to submit applications is June 26.
Next Steps workshop for businesses is next week
Next Steps, a workshop focused on helping existing businesses run more effectively in this economy, is Tuesday through Thursday in Bogue Hall Room 300 on the Colorado Mountain College Alpine Campus in Steamboat Springs. The program, sponsored by SCORE and CMC, also is an excellent program for non-business managers to learn more about finance, marketing, people management, critical success factors and business lending. There will be a business diagnostic session in which counselors will help small-business operators understand their strengths and weaknesses better.
Light meals will be served each night at 5:30 p.m., and the session will start promptly at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The fee for this program is $50 (cash or check) and can be paid at the start of the program Tuesday.
