Steamboat Springs Search and Rescue crews successfully helped a woman to an ambulance this morning after she had a nasty fall while mountain biking along Spring Creek.
Routt County Search and Rescue spokesman Darrel Levingston said the woman, 39, lives locally and fell after going off the trail near the third bridge, more than a mile from the trailhead. Levingston said she could have fallen about 6 feet. Her injuries were not life-threatening. She was riding with another woman.
Nine Search and Rescue volunteers responded to the scene after being paged at about 9 a.m. The woman reached an ambulance by about 10:45 a.m., Levingston said.
Levingston said the woman was sitting on the side of the trail when crews arrived.
