Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs High School Athletic Director Richard Lee gave no reason for his resignation in a letter to Principal Kevin Taulman dated Jan. 1.
The resignation, effective March 31, will be considered by the Steamboat Springs School Board in a meeting tonight.
"I have very much enjoyed working with you these last couple of years at the high school," the letter states. "The teachers and staff at the high school are excellent professionals, both individually and as a group, and I am honored to have worked along side them for almost six years."
Lee could not be reached Sunday night.
Resignations by Lee and Jeff Keller, the seventh-grade boys basketball coach, are recommended for approval.
Also on the agenda is a review of the audit from the 2007-08 school year, by Steamboat Springs School District Finance Director Dale Mellor, and a review of the current year's school district finances.
In a report issued by Bondi & Co., LLC, of Englewood, the school district received a clean review.
