Hitchens Brothers' jump series to resume Wednesday

The Hitchens Brothers' Wednesday Night Jump Series event scheduled for Jan. 7 was postponed until Wednesday because of heavy snow.

The rescheduled event begins with training at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Howelsen Hill.

Registration for the event, which is free to competitors, is from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Pizza, soda and cookies will be available at Olympian Hall from 5 until 6 p.m. Jumping starts on the K-18 hill at 6 p.m. All competitors get two jumps and must be at the start gate at the beginning of each competition. Awards are given for first-, second- and third-place finishes. The series continues with events Jan. 28, Feb. 25 and March 11.

Training offered Tuesday for arthritis therapy instructors

The Arthritis Foundation's Rocky Mountain Chapter will host a one-day exercise instructor training Tuesday at Hayden's Haven Community Center. The Arthritis Foundation provides an aquatic program and an exercise program designed for people with arthritis and related conditions.
