Friday, Jan. 2
12:12 a.m. A fight was reported at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. One man sustained serious head injuries and later was airlifted to a Denver hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Friday. Two other men were treated for minor injuries.
1:58 a.m. A noise complaint was received from the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. Steamboat Springs police gave a warning.
4:02 a.m. Threats were reported in the 33000 block of Filly Trail in Stagecoach. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies took a report.
6:06 a.m. A fire alarm went off in the 40500 block of Routt County Road 69A. Everything was fine.
9:35 a.m. A fire alarm went off in the 40500 block of C.R. 69A. Everything was fine.
11:12 a.m. Horses at large were reported near mile marker 2 on C.R. 14.
2:07 p.m. Sheriff's Office deputies assisted a motorist near mile marker 119 on U.S. Highway 40.
2:17 p.m. Two men were reported lost out of bounds at Steamboat Ski Area. The two men, a skier and a snowboarder, were located safely by Steamboat Ski Patrol at about 5 p.m. in the Fish Creek Falls drainage area.
2:46 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.
3:36 p.m. An 81-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop near mile marker 129 on U.S. 40 on suspicion of weaving and driving under suspension.
4:04 p.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported at C.R. 74 and C.R. 74A.
4:36 p.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from the 1300 block of Walton Creek Road.
7:14 p.m. Harassment was reported in the 700 block of Tamarack Drive. No more information was available.
9:42 p.m. A welfare check was requested on an individual in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. Everything was fine.
10:01 p.m. Theft was reported in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police took a report.
11:34 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in an alley in the downtown Steamboat Springs area. Police were unable to locate the person.
