Steamboat briefs: School District to fund 1 year of credit monitoring
The Steamboat Springs School District has agreed to pay for one year's worth of credit monitoring for all current employees after the Tuesday night theft of a district laptop containing the Social Security numbers and names of 1,300 past and present employees.

12:53 a.m. A drunken pedestrian was reported at 12th and Yampa streets where an extremely intoxicated woman was lying on the ground and said she was concerned that she wouldn't make it home. The woman was transported via ambulance to the hospital. She later was taken to detox.
