1:09 a.m. A welfare check was requested in the 1200 block of Sparta Plaza where a woman was heard screaming and yelling and pounding on the walls of her condo. The woman had been having an ongoing dispute with a man but was alone in the residence when police arrived. Police took a report.

7:38 a.m. A fire was reported in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway where smoke was seen coming from a pile of Christmas trees due for recycling. The smoke actually was steam from melting snow; there was no fire. Everything was fine.

1:11 p.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 1800 block of Central Park Drive where a taxi van was parked in a fire lane. Police gave a warning.

1:11 p.m. A 21-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested during a traffic stop at the south intersection of Routt County Road 14 and Colorado Highway 131 on suspicion of driving under restraint and having a defective brake light.

1:41 p.m. A barking dog complaint was received from the 200 block of Caribou Lane.

3:23 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 2400 block of Storm Meadows Drive where a naked man was reported in the parking lot. Police were unable to locate him.

3:59 p.m. A 32-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 26500 block of C.R. 43.

4:11 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The parties involved decided to handle the matter civilly.

4:16 p.m. A drunken man was reportedly staggering down Short Street and then fell into a snow bank. By the time police arrived, the man's father had taken him inside. The man, a 33-year-old Steamboat Springs resident, was highly intoxicated and unresponsive and was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center via ambulance. Later that evening, he was transported to Routt County Jail and booked on an outstanding warrant for violating a protection order.

4:46 p.m. An ambulance was requested in Steamboat Springs for a man who appeared to be having chest pains and a possible seizure. He was transported to the hospital.

5:22 p.m. Harassment was reported in Steamboat Springs where a woman and her boyfriend's ex-wife had a confrontation and exchanged words. The girlfriend later was issued a summons for harassment.

6:06 p.m. Harassing phone calls were reported in Steamboat Springs where a hotel employee was receiving messages from an unknown caller. Police took a report.

9:08 p.m. An ambulance was requested in Steamboat Springs where a person fell skiing earlier in the day and was feeling ill and experiencing abdominal pains. The person refused transport.

10:07 p.m. A noise complaint was received from the 2000 block of Trollhaugen Court where loud Brazilian music had been playing for two hours. The reporting party said the music was an ongoing problem, and he would notify the homeowners association.

10:20 p.m. An 18-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop at Lincoln Avenue and Ninth Street, on suspicion of driving under the influence, DUI per se, minor in possession, failure to signal, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:48 p.m. An officer was requested in the 400 block of Seventh Street where a person refused to leave a residence. The person left with no further problems after police arrived.

11:56 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Everything was fine.
