SmartWool has chosen the Holton Sales Group as the 2008 Agency of the Year and Roland Salazar as 2008 SmartWool Sales Rep of the Year, according to news releases.
Owned by Jim and Cindy Holton, the Holton Sales Group has represented SmartWool since 1994. The Holton Sales Group has two associates, Leigh Miles and Gary Gray. The group directs sales in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and the upper peninsula of Michigan. The group increased its business in 2008 by 33 percent from 2007, according to a release.
Roland has represented SmartWool for 11 years. He is an associate with Alpert Tebrich & Associates and focuses on Northern California. In the past year, Roland's business growth has outpaced the growth of others in his agency and SmartWool's corporate growth overall.
SmartWool awards both honors annually at the Outdoor Retailer winter market show.
Chaos Headwear honors sales representatives
Chaos Headwear announced Mary Ann and Brent Best of Best and Associates in the Rocky Mountain Region for its Rep of the Year Award, according to a news release. The region includes Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico.
The awards were given for best regional sales in 2008 on Jan. 29 at the SIA-Snow Sports trade show in Las Vegas. The award is based on sales criteria for 2008: most new accounts, most preseason orders and re-orders, co-brands, branding and merchandising.
