Former Olympian wins world championship in Nordic combined mass start event

Nordic combined veteran and four-time Olympian Todd Lodwick, of Steamboat Springs, completed one of the most unlikely comebacks in competitive skiing history Friday morning, winning a world championship in the mass start event in Liberec, Czech Republic.

A missing snowboarder was found safe about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, said Russ Sanford, incident commander and president of Routt County Search and Rescue.
