Moonshine Wine and Dine event 6:30 p.m. March 7
Steamboat Springs The Rocky Mountain Youth Corps presents its third annual Moonshine Wine and Dine fundraiser, a cross-country ski and snowshoe guided tour followed by a gourmet dinner with paired wines. The event, "Evening on Emerald," begins at 6:30 p.m. March 7 with appetizers and wine, then it's out onto the moonlit fields for fun in the snow. Lyman Orton and Janice Izzi then host a dinner and silent auction in their red barn. All proceeds benefit the Yampa Valley Science School. Casual dress/ski-wear appropriate. Tickets cost $75. Yampa Valley Science School, a program of Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, serves nearly 200 Routt County sixth-grade students each year in a residential, experiential environmental science camp. Since 2000, more than 1,600 students have participated, in addition to local teenagers who serve as mentors and teachers.
