Place of birth: San Francisco

Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?

A. In 1972. John Denver and Cat Stevens lured me here. I was a ski bum.

Q. Describe your morning routine.

A. Pilates three days a week, coffee, bath, stretch, smoothie and on my computer by 9 a.m.

Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?

A. "Nothing Special: Living Zen." It reminds me to accept whatever comes down the pipe, let go of it and be open to accept whatever is next.

Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?

A. 1) My hair is not gray, it is silver. 2) One of the nicest things anyone can do for me is cook me a delicious meal. 3) I'm caught somewhere between seeking the ultimate wisdom and taking myself too seriously.

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?

A. I'd have the first four world leaders that would accept my invitation. We would talk about respect.

Q. Do you collect anything?

A. Stories, but I can't always recall them.

Q. In the Meatloaf song, "I'd do anything for love, but I won't do that," what is that?

A. Drink Coors beer.

Q. What was your first job?

A. Counselor at a camp for disabled youth at Coyote Point in San Francisco.

Q. Do you have any phobias?

A. Surgeries and math tests.

Q. If you could go back in time, to what event or time period would you go?

A. Despite the cumbersome clothes, I would go back to the Women's Suffrage Movement, but I'd have a desolate beach house somewhere to go skinny-dipping.
