Yampa Valley Medical Center’s Family Birth Place staff is adding a sibling class to its childbirth education class offerings. The new class is free and will take place 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Family Birth Place on YVMC’s campus.
The class is available to children ages 2 and older and will answer questions for the soon-to-be big brother or sister such as: What do babies eat? Why do babies cry? How do I hold the baby? Parents and children will learn what kind of feelings they will experience when the baby comes home.
Families also will receive a tour of YVMC’s new Family Birth Place.
The class is taught by YVMC Registered Nurses. Children need to bring a stuffed animal or doll. Call 871-2416 to register.
