The former Southside Schoolhouse on Twentymile Road isn’t moving off its site overlooking the Yampa River. It’s just waiting to be plopped onto a new foundation. To passersby, the schoolhouse may look like it's being moved to another property, but owners Jim and Mary Scott say they have no intention of doing that.

Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1100 block of Yampa Street where three people reportedly were on the roof of a condo complex. The people came down off the roof and walked away.

Routt County’s response to a lawsuit filed by Connell Resources denies many of Connell’s allegations and leaves open the option for a jury trial. Routt County attorney John Merrill said Tuesday that no progress has been made toward settling the lawsuit outside of court. Connell is seeking more than $100,000 in damages for allegations related to work at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in 2005 and 2006.
