Ken Brenner: Intersection is safer

Steamboat Springs — Thank you to the city's Public Works Department for the improvements made this week along Amethyst Drive near Spring Creek. The intersection is now much safer for pedestrians and bicycles, just in time for the start of school. The widened shoulders and painted crosswalks provide a critical connection to our trail system. Good job!

I couldn't agree more. I have even now trained myself to cross Amethyst from the South side of Maple. But that is surely the safest place for that crosswalk. Nicely done.
