On the Market: Rollingstone golf club broadens membership eligibility

Steamboat Springs Sheraton Steamboat Resort's Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club has expanded the geographic boundaries for membership eligibility at the club. The previous boundaries, which have been in place for the past 25 years, restricted membership to designated property owners within a limited area in Steamboat Springs.
The Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club members voted overwhelmingly earlier this summer to expand the boundaries to include Routt, Moffat, Grand, Jackson and Eagle counties, according to a club spokesperson. The one-time initiation fee is $35,000 for the first 19 memberships sold.
The memberships remain attached to the members' real estate, providing homeowners with the potential for an increase in equity and home value when they sell their homes.
Advantages of membership include: no monthly dues, no food or beverage minimums, member pricing on daily green fees, annual pass options for green fees, 60-day advance tee time bookings and Troon Advantage Membership with discounted golf at any Troon Club Worldwide.
Those interested in membership should call Tim Wolfgram at 970-871-6440, ext. 1040. For more information, visit www.rollingstoneranchgolf.com or call the club's golf pro, Brian Thorne, at 970-879-1391.
Mountain area grabs most of June sales
The Steamboat mountain area accounted for 17 of 67 transactions in June. The total as reported by Bruce Carta, of Land Title Guarantee, includes 14 timeshare sales. Hayden and the surrounding area perked up a little bit, logging six sales for an aggregate value of $1.02 million. Stagecoach saw five sales for a combined $1.78 million and an average residential price per square foot of $255.50.
$26M-plus in homes sold in 1st half of '09
Sales of homes in Routt County in June totaled 36. Of the total, 22 were priced at less than $500,000.
There also were nine home sales priced greater than $1 million. That brings the million-plus unit volume to 26 in the first six months of 2009.
