Steamboat Springs — This Massachusetts old man will be very sad to see Doug leave (Black Mountain Tavern in Oak Creek). He and his staff and his customers' outgoing friendliness were singular to me. They each made the place unique. So long and best wishes for the future. I really mean it!

Lorna Farrow

Lorna was a great mentor and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My hugs, thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all her friends. : We Love you Lorna, and you will always be in our hearts.

Lorna's helping hands

Lorna was a key member of the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and worked tirelessly for the Bust of Steamboat. She was always coming up with new and quirky ideas to promote the cause and made the Bust a very successful event. Her shoes will be impossible to fill, and she will be missed by all of us on the committee immensely. My heart goes out to Gary and all of her family.

Public growth talk

Steve Aigner is a professor emeritus so he is certainly someone that can speak for himself. Except that regarding this video he decided that his words are indefensible.

If he and his friends think he is the victim of a terrible injustice then present the lecture in Steamboat with a question and answer period. If it was much ado about nothing then it would be an evening learning the academic theories of the sociology behind a city's growth decisions.
