YVRA needs volunteers for mass casualty drill
Steamboat Springs — Yampa Valley Regional Airport needs volunteer victims for its Oct. 5 mass casualty drill. The drill is a fun and interesting way to help our emergency services practice their skills. The drill involves a mock airplane incident, and as many as 60 volunteers are needed. Meals will be provided. Call 276-5011.
Registration open for ice skating lessons
Howelsen Ice Arena is accepting registration for all sessions of Learn to Skate, today from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at the arena on Howelsen Parkway. Sessions run from Oct. 28 to Dec. 16; Jan. 6, 2009, to March 3, 2009; and March 10, 2009, to May 5, 2009. Parent-tot, adult and power-skating classes also are available. Contact Courtney Q.
