— Authorities say a twin-engine plane crashed Thursday night in northern Colorado, killing both people aboard.

Allen Kenitzer of the Federal Aviation Administration said Friday the twin-engine Piper PA-60 Aerostar crashed on approach to Mc Elroy Airfield in Kremmling, about 75 miles west of Denver.

The victims' names have not been released. Kenitzer says the plane took off from North Las Vegas Airport and was registered to BDW Equipment Leasing of Las Vegas. No listed number could be found for the company.

Kenitzer says two dogs aboard the plane were also killed.
