City announces construction detours
The Colorado Department of Transportation has issued a utility permit for work on Lincoln Avenue between Fourth Street and Old Fish Creek Falls Road. The work began Tuesday and continues through Nov. 15, as crews upgrade public water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure. There will be varying detours. Updates will be provided Mondays in the Steamboat Today.
The first phase of work will involve a new box culvert and a new sanitary sewer on the west side of Lincoln Avenue near Third Street, and should last two to three weeks. Congestion is anticipated, and alternate routes are advised. For more information, call Greg Gunn at 970-871-8273.
