Steamboat Springs Monday, Sept. 1
12:05 a.m. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a complaint about a vehicle in Clark, where deputies found a car stuck in a ditch on a private road. The driver was arrested and taken to the hospital for a blood test.
12:31 a.m. During a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 40 and Indian Trails, Steamboat Springs police arrested a motorist on suspicion of driving under the influence.
12:52 a.m. An ambulance was requested in the 700 block of South Lincoln Ave. for a 31-year-old man suffering from possible diabetic conditions. The man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
4:57 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Yampa Street between Fifth and Sixth streets. The occupant was camping in his or her vehicle. Police told the occupant to leave the area.
6:09 a.m. A report of shots fired was made from the 34000 block of Routt County Road 14. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene. It was the first day of the goose hunting season, and everything was OK.
10:44 a.m. A bike seat and a bike seat tool kit were reported stolen from a parking lot in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A report was taken.
12:20 p.m. Theft was reported in the 2900 block of Riverside Plaza. The case is under investigation.
12:46 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 1700 block of River Queen Lane. Everything was OK.
12:47 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of Ninth Street, where the rear window of a Subaru Outback had been smashed. A report was taken.
12:58 p.m. A bicycle was found and turned in to the Steamboat Springs Police Department.
3:01 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where a car window had been broken. Police found a rock in the vehicle's rear passenger seat. The incident is under investigation.
4:08 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at Anglers Drive and U.S. 40. A report was taken.
6:42 p.m. A report of a missing juvenile was made from the 400 block of Eagle Point Court. The child returned home a short time later.
8:55 p.m. A car was reported on fire after crashing in a yard off Colorado Highway 131 in Phippsburg. The fire was extinguished, and the driver was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center with unknown injuries.
10:43 p.m. A car was reported on fire in front of the Royal Hotel in Yampa. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
