Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?
A. In 1999 - my boyfriend who is now my husband.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?
A. Taking 15-plus teenagers to Denver to skateboard and serve food at the Denver Rescue Mission
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Get the kids up for school, make lunches, drive to school then head home for coffee and time with my 4-year-old.
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. "The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical" by Shane Claiborne. It really showed me a lot about living a life for Christ and how to be authentic for Jesus in the community around me.
Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
A. Reconcile all relationships and do not harbor unforgiveness.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. I am absolutely in love with Jesus, I love being a mom, and I want the things I do with my life to impact others for good.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. An oceanographer, until I realized I was afraid of the deep ocean!
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. I would want to eat dinner with Jesus and three of his disciples, and I would want to hear stories about them traveling around, starting the Church and the excitement of living in community, and would just want to be in the midst of his compassion and love.
Q. Do you have a tattoo? If so, what of and why did you choose it?
A. I have five. The most significant is a toe tattoo that my high school best friend and I got together.
