High school parent/
teacher conferences
Steamboat Springs High School's parent/teacher conferences are from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. There is a modified school schedule on those days, with the last class of the day ending at 1:55 p.m. Parents are asked to make appropriate after-school arrangements for their students. Because Steamboat Springs High School is the only district school in session Thursday, buses will pick up students at 2 p.m. to take them home.
Drop-in appointments for teachers are available from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Call the school at 879-1562 for more information.
Figure skating club fundraiser Saturday
A Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club fundraiser, "Vegas Dance Party," is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. Tickets are $40 per person. The event includes silent and live auctions, buffet dinner, drinks and live music by Exit 232. Call 846-3352.
Singers needed for 'Carmina Burana'
Singers are needed for the Colorado Mountain College production of "Carmina Burana," scheduled for January at Steamboat Springs High School. Rehearsals are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays in the Steamboat Springs Middle School band room.
