nmyopinon, Thanks for the info. I feel like they could talk me down sometimes, as crazy as it gets around here! LOL! ;-)

9:15 a.m. Public access to Stagecoach State Park was closed for several hours while Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies resolved an undisclosed incident. The incident resulted in no injuries or property damage, and no criminal charges are expected to be filed, Sheriff Gary Wall said Friday.

So, what was the undisclosed incident? Why is it undisclosed? Who or what are we covering up now? It required public access to be shut down; it had to be serious! I'm sorry; I have lost my faith in our sheriff after the past events of his office. I wonder how much officer time and tax money we waste on false alarms! We hear about a lot of them! Ya gotta love the record blogs! LOL! Have a good day!

Maybe "seven" moved to Blue Sage from Oak Creek!

Way too many fire alarms are going off, and turning out to be false alarms. Seems to be kids pulling them, instead of them doing homework like they should be. Also, I didn't know you couldn't sell food out of the back of your vehicle, and whoever called that in should be arrested themselves! Get a life, please some of you who have nothing better to do! Look for real criminals, and not people who fall asleep in their truck at night and call it suspicious, please people!

Selling food out of a vehicle requires a business liscense and Board of Health approval. Without at least a BOH stamp I wouldn't eat it. Imagine mayo in a 100+ degree trunk for a couple of hours.

FYI..alarms are not always set off by pull stations..could be dust somebody burning food or even smoking..these smoke detcetors are sensitive..can even be set off by h2o getting in wiring from a leak although i have caught people pulling pull stations thats not always the case..worked for a company that monitors and installs burglar and smoke alarms..check your facts first rockie

There was a man on the "edge" at Stagecoach that needed to be talked down.

0

nurmidst 5 years, 11 months ago

sorry that last comment was about yesterdays paranoid reports

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

I highly doubt your explanation on the fire alarms. They may be sensitive, but when you get that many reports in one day it is foul play I'm sorry. And Boatmaster, fellow, you need to add something worthy or don't say anything at all, I don't have all the answers, but you sure don't.

0

BoatMaster 5 years, 11 months ago

Ok rockie29 I will say something worthy..... Here it goes....

Your self appointed position of moderator and your daily comments of "the record" are not entertaining at all. If you want your own blog then go start one somewhere else.

If you want to make occasional comments like everyone else then do stay and have fun. Being daily moderator of the column is not needed.

Mobile food licenses are not available in this town. If they were I would own a roach coach and be selling coffee at every jobsite in town and making a killing. oh! that's not allowed in this town since we're not like the rest of the world.

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

Hey boatmaster, I have an idea for you, take a hike! I never said I was a moderator. The Record is entertaining, and no I don't need a blog. Have fun, laugh, instead of being so uptight, you have a lot of stress in your life it sounds like, and don't call the police if you see a dog on your street, or if a suspicious person is sleeping on your lawn lol!

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

I think Boatmaster is our paranoid person making all the calls lol!

youre right rockie i only worked there for two and a half years a have delt with the very things i suggested..case in point:1. had problems a CMC with fire alarms turned out students were either smoking weed or cigs blowing the smoke up towards the detector setting it off..2. during ski season a guest was taking a HOT shower causing condinsation when they opened the bathroom door the condinsation set off the smoke alarm above the bathroom door..3. ski season again aguest hung there pull over and ski pants on a sprinkler head and tried to dry them with a hair dryer causing the sprinkler head to go off...4. some condo complexs have h2o leaks and it does get in the wiring causing a short ....take a look at the adresses med Spring Dr thats condo land highly doubt kids could acess the building with out a key card the second mostly The Pines at Ore House..one last thing ask anyone in the resort industry how many times guests have set off smoke alarms by over cooking thier food because they are not used to the alitude and have also had contractors set off smoke alarms by blowing dust from their work causing it to get in the smoke detector resulting in an alarm..but again i made this all up cause i don't know what i'm talking about

Rockie29

I agree with BoatMaster and paddlefisher. You are clueless.

We all love to read the record as a source of amusement. Unfortunately you have appointed yourself "moderator". A position nobody wants you in. You even go as far as notitying us that "you will be gone for a few days." Do yo think we care?

It seems paddlefisher has some experience to back up his/her comments. And you?

Calm it down and let us all enjoy the record without a moderator.

0

nmypinon 5 years, 11 months ago

Don't forget that storms & dead batteries are often a cause of alarms going off. I agree we don't need a "moderator" it's not like we can't read the events on the record at the top of the page. You are just re-writing what has been said. Comments or info about something is ok or if something is misprinted then retell it.

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

I never said I was a moderator, you think that. Some of your comments show that you can't enjoy The Record. Loosen up! I'm here to stay! Maybe some of you need to look in the mirror, and evaluate whether you need to retire from commenting on The Record.

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

Sounds like you need new alarms then Paddlefisher! False alarms only add to frustration from authorities. I'd check them, so that you don't get fined!

0

dave reynolds 5 years, 11 months ago

you are the south bound end of a north bound horse..i backed my statement with facts and all you can do is say get new alarms the key word was WORKED there the company i WORKED for has a very good rep in this community..id explain how it works a little more but apperantly you dont want to hear it..you tell everyone to lighten up..maybe you should stop taking yourself so seriously..personally id feel safer knowing these alarms are sensitive unlike you the authorties understand this..by the way dork there were only two fire alarms and two burgulary alarms but i guess you cann't grasp the concept that they are two totally different alarms..you think you are amusing but most of the time you show how moronic you really are

0

dave reynolds 5 years, 11 months ago

by the way you sound like you are a seasonal resident..by announcing to everybodys delight that you are back..if so do you own a condo or a second home..none of my business..but if its a condo the very alarms you are critizing are protecting your home and belongings id think youd feel good about that but thats just me..thx roxie and nymy at least someone gets it

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

Hey Paddle, check your alarms! You need a stress test, partner! You are getting way too worked up! I live here everyday, and just because one leaves on a weekend doesn't mean they are seasonal. You need new material, or get off The Record! You lose! The moron is in the mirror, or is it the animal you keep calling when you see it.

0

rockie29 5 years, 11 months ago

You need a lot of exercise, pent up energy is building in you Paddle. Take a hike or bike ride. You seem on the verge of a nervous breakdown, or maybe you need to be taken to Detox! You sound like a seasonal resident, mister.

Granny has a good idea.

Everyone continue to hit the remove button for rockie until there is result. !!

0

dave reynolds 5 years, 11 months ago

LMFAO..long time resident have been sober for 5 years now..once again you assume...the alarms were a bunch of kids and im a drunk..i get plenty of exercise...so ill stay off of YOUR RECORD..when i worked there and did dispatch the police or fire dept(flase alarm or not) it was by order of the fire chief himself so you have issues with that take it up with him..
