Food assistance available at LIFT-UP

USDA commodities are being distributed for the first quarter of 2008 at LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek. The service is part of the Emergency Food Assistance Program.

Each eligible household can receive food once per quarter. The distribution period for the first quarter ends Monday. Food will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 870-8804 between 1 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for more.

Opportunity for antique, vintage exhibit in Hayden

The Hayden Heritage Museum has an opening for an exhibit for this upcoming summer season. Whether it is baby bottles or vintage aprons, pocket knives or mining tools, call the museum to see if your special collection could earn you bragging rights this summer. The featured collection will be on display from mid-May through the end of September and will be the museum's highlighted exhibit for the season. Applications for the display space are due by Monday.
