County fair board seeks to fill two vacancies

The Routt County Fair Board has two vacancies. One position is at-large and expires Dec. 31, 2010. The other is for District 2 in Hayden and also expires Dec. 31, 2010.

The Fair Board is a nine-member board responsible for the management of the fairgrounds and planning and executing the annual Routt County Fair. Meetings are the second Wednesday of every month. Call Jill at 276-3068.

Local youths needed for city's Teen Council

The city's Teen Council offers local teens a chance to share their views and ideas about how to make Routt County a better place to live for all youths and teens. Teen Council is a fun and exciting opportunity to hang out with friends, make a positive difference in the community and give teens a voice.

Meetings will be held twice a month. The first meeting is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the new Steamboat Springs Community Center, on U.S. Highway 40 west of downtown. Dinner will be provided.
