Well done, Borvansky
Steamboat Springs The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors congratulates Devin Borvansky on his recent appointment to Steamboat Springs Fire and Rescue.
Devin is a 2004 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School and attended Aims Community College in Greeley to pursue a degree in fire science. Devin is a recipient of the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors scholarship. Devin was also awarded the Tyler Gates Gooding renewable scholarship, which is available to students in Steamboat Springs who wish to pursue a higher education degree at an accredited college or technical school.
Hayden book fair
Hayden Public Library hosts a Scholastic Books Book Fair during regular library hours through March 25.
Kinder makes Dean's List
Jacquelyn D. Kinder, the daughter of Drs. Dennis and Pamela Kinder and a 2007 graduate of The Lowell Whiteman School, made the Dean's List for the fall 2007 semester at the University of Montana.
Parent Academy
A Parent Academy event focusing on underage drug and alcohol use and abuse begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Steamboat Springs High School. The event includes a free dinner, chance to network with other parents, and a discussion led by John Underwood of the American Athletic Institute. Underwood is familiar with challenges particular to resort communities and is involved in research about the detrimental affects of alcohol and substance abuse on young people's minds, bodies, and scholastic and athletic performance.
