Realtors scholarships available for renewal
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors is again awarding renewable college scholarships to past Board of Realtors scholarship recipients. Visit their Web site at www.ssbr.org for application guidelines, or call the board at 879-4663, ext. 11. The deadline to submit applications is Monday.
Ruff named Merit Scholar at DU
Christopher Ruff, a 2005 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, was named the University of Denver geography department's Merit Scholar for service and academic standing. Ruff, a junior who is pursuing a double major in geography and geology and a minor in environmental sciences, will receive a $4,000 scholarship to finish his studies at DU.
King graduates from Oklahoma Baptist
Daylee E. King, of Steamboat, received her bachelor's degree during Oklahoma Baptist University's 2008 Spring Commencement on May 17. King, one of 247 graduates at the Shawnee, Okla., school, received a degree in biology.
Berry makes President's List at Gonzaga
W. Paul Berry, a freshman from Steamboat, was among the 899 undergraduate students named to the Gonzaga University President's List for spring semester 2008. Students must earn a 3.7 GPA or better to be listed.
Kitzman graduates from University of Pheonix
Aleah Kitzman, a 1997 graduate of Hayden High School and daughter of Ed and Kathy Hockin of Hayden, graduated with gold honors from the University of Pheonix' Boise, Idaho, campus May 31. Kitzman received a Bachelor's degree in Science/Psychology. Kitzman lives in Idaho with her husband and will work in social services.
