Vaccinations will be offered for Tdap, MMR, HPV, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella and Meningococcal. No appointment is necessary. Students younger than age 18 must have a parent present and must bring their vaccine records. A Spanish interpreter will be available. The VNA charges on a sliding scale of free to $14 a shot for children younger than 19. Call 879-1632.

HPV vaccinations offered to young women in need

Free HPV vaccinations are available to uninsured, low-income women ages 19 to 26, through the Merck Vaccine Patient Assistance program, at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association office at Yampa Valley Medical Center. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease and can lead to cervical cancer and other diseases. Completing the vaccination series will provide lifelong protection against the most common types of hepatitis. The cost of the vaccinations will be on a sliding fee scale up to $14.

For all vaccinations, call the VNA at 879-1632 to learn if you qualify.
