Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?

A. We just celebrated our one-year anniversary Memorial Day Weekend. We moved our family here from the Denver area after we visited and decided there couldn't be a better place to raise a family - the opportunity for recreation, the overall amiability of the community and the natural resources here are second to none. How could you pass up the opportunity to live in a world-class destination if there is any chance of making it happen?

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?

A. My husband and I decided to launch a biofuel brokering operation even after two years of research and development told us we'd have an uphill battle getting it to the area and educating the community. Not to mention it's getting more and more expensive, and we're certainly not making any money. Oh well.

Q. Describe your morning routine.

A. My 2-year-old son jumps (literally) in bed with us, and then it's downstairs for coffee and half-and-half. I wouldn't get my calcium without it.

Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?

A. "The Celestine Prophecy." On the whole, it's a little cheesy but it effectively combines the best aspects of several world religions into a philosophy of life that is logical and easy to live by.

Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A. "When you were born in the United States you won the human lottery. Never forget it."

Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?

A. 1. It drives me crazy that there is no translation for "silly" in Spanish.

2. Although I have five jobs, (yes, I'm crazy) being a mom is the most rewarding and the toughest. I can't wait to see it on "Dirty Jobs."

3. I'm learning to Zumba!

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?

A. My mom and both grandmothers when they were my age. We'd drink wine, smoke and gossip while Lyle Lovett or Bono crooned in the corner.
