2:35 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported at Howelsen Hill.
6:28 a.m. A vehicle hit a parked car in the 1000 block of Walton Creek Road. There were no injuries, and a report was taken.
8:07 a.m. Burglary was reported in Steamboat Springs. A rock was thrown through the door of a model home.
9:27 a.m. A liquid spill was reported in the 1600 block of 13th Street. Five hundred gallons of magnesium chloride spilled in a ditch. The fire department responded.
10:13 a.m. Trespassing was reported in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive. A former employee entered a business after hours. A report was taken, and the person was told not to return.
10:17 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Eighth Street. The vehicle was empty, and officers could not contact the owner.
10:32 a.m. A lost credit card was reported in the 200 block of Anglers Drive.
11:06 a.m. A hit and run was reported in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. A vehicle ran into a pole and left the scene.
11:06 a.m. A person reported two barking dogs in the 300 block of Cherry Drive. Animal control responded.
11:27 a.m. A person reported that they had lost their wallet in downtown Steamboat.
11:58 a.m. Lost property was reported in the 300 block of Kelhi Court. A person lost a gun that was later turned in and had been run over by a car, leaving it inoperable. The owner was contacted.
12:03 p.m. A person reported their license plates missing in the 2200 block of County Shop Road. The plates had been missing for a month.
12:12 p.m. Theft was reported in the 1300 block of 13th Street. A bike valued at $1,000 was stolen.
12:49 p.m. An animal complaint was reported in the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza. A dog was locked inside a white truck. The owner was contacted.
1:51 p.m. An animal complaint was reported at the intersection of Pine Street and Fifth Street. A dog was at large. The dog was returned, and the owner was issued a warning.
2:08 p.m. A person reported a lost driver's license in downtown Steamboat.
3:15 p.m. A person reported that a black dog had followed their son home on County Road 53 in Hayden.
3:24 p.m. A person reported an animal complaint in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person said a dog had been locked in a car for more than an hour.
4:41 p.m. A car accident happened in the 100 block of Hillside Drive. There were no injuries, and a report was taken.
5:07 p.m. A car accident happened at the intersection of 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. There were no injuries, and a report was taken.
8 p.m. A child accidentally pulled a fire alarm in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.
8:20 p.m. An officer was requested in the 3700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A person reported that the door of their home had been kicked in, their house was ransacked and their possessions were thrown on the lawn.
9:14 p.m. Harassment was reported in Steamboat Springs. A report was taken.
11:09 p.m. A noise complaint was reported on Walton Creek Road. The person said there was a party of 10 to 15 people. The people were gone when officers arrived.

Thats pretty scary when you can lose a gun. But thankfully it was ran over & not picked up by a child.

nmyopinion, True, it is scary! It may not be a crime to "loose" a weapon however, it is a lame excuse for being reckless! Have a good day!
