7:07 a.m. Obscene phone messages were reported in Steamboat Springs.
8:15 a.m. A parking complaint about construction vehicles parked on a blind switchback was reported from the 30100 block of Elk Lane.
10:02 a.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1700 block of Meadow Lane, where a house had been egged. Police took a report.
10:04 a.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from Riverside Plaza.
11:50 a.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza.
12:15 p.m. Theft of carpet by a subcontractor was reported in the 2700 block of Downhill Drive.
12:18 p.m. Theft of a television was reported in the 2700 block of Eagleridge Drive.
12:36 p.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
1:35 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 2500 block of AprÃs Ski Way. Everything was fine.
2:13 p.m. A dog at large was reported on Pine Grove Road. The animal was gone when police arrived.
2:42 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.
3:30 p.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported on Parkview Avenue.
5:17 p.m. A noise complaint was received from the 2700 block of Alpenglow Way. Police gave a warning.
5:28 p.m. Juveniles were reported loitering and bothering people on Anglers Drive. Police asked them to leave.
5:30 p.m. A dog at large was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The animal was gone when police arrived.
5:46 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 800 block of Weiss Drive, where a handgun was found in a storage unit being cleaned out by the owner. The handgun was turned over to police for safekeeping.
6:33 p.m. A bear was reported near mile marker 129 on U.S. Highway 40. The Colorado Division of Wildlife was notified.
7:06 p.m. A noise complaint was received from Sixth and Yampa streets, where construction work was continuing after 7 p.m. The project had a permit on file allowing extended hours.
7:22 p.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where a car was parked in a handicap space.
7:33 p.m. A bear was reported in the 2700 block of Village Drive. The Colorado Division of Wildlife was notified.
7:46 p.m. An ambulance was requested in Steamboat Springs, where an 84-year-old man possibly broke his hip. The man was transported to the hospital.
11:22 p.m. Sheriff's Office deputies assisted a motorist at Routt County Road 27 and Colorado Highway 131.
