Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?

A. In August 2000, for our kids and to hemorrhage cash.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?

A. Going outward bound.

Q. Describe your morning routine.

A. 6:30 a.m. open an eye, 7 a.m. pretend to work, 8 a.m. "work out," 9 a.m. work, 9 a.m. to sleep, ensure the proliferation of future genes.

Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?

A. No, I'm a conduit to life, and there is no substitute for experience! I'll read more when I'm dead.

Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A. If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough! OR, Only give as much of yourself as you can afford to lose in any given situation.

Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?

A. I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids!

Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A. Speed Racer.

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?

A. Lee Tautz, John Barker, Jeff Beck and Mario Andretti. We would talk about family, passions, inventions and what tomorrow may bring.

A. Memories.

Q. What was your first job?

A. Dishwasher.
