6:40 a.m. A missing persons report was filed in Milner, where a woman and her two children were late returning from a trip to visit family. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies took a report.

7:17 a.m. A bear was reported trying to enter a residence in the 2300 block of Val D'Isere Circle. The animal was gone when police arrived.

8:48 a.m. A Hayden man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 1900 block of Shield Drive.

10:27 a.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 300 block of Fourth Street, where a man was seen in the area on foot with his dog and later in his vehicle.

10:53 a.m. A dog at large was reported at U.S. Highway 40 and Hilltop Parkway. The animal was gone when police arrived.

11:52 a.m. Theft of an iPod and credit card from a vehicle was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Police took a report.

11:55 a.m. A fire alarm went off in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive. Everything was fine.

12:09 p.m. A dog at large was reported in the 1200 block of Turning Leaf Court. The animal was gone when police arrived.

12:09 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue, where a charter bus hit mirrors with a fire truck. Police took a report.

12:25 p.m. A dog at large was reported in the 400 block of Anglers Drive. Police gave a warning.

1:21 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.

1:57 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 33100 block of East U.S. 40. Everything was fine.

2:11 p.m. Harassing phone calls were reported in Steamboat Springs, as part of an ongoing domestic dispute. Police are investigating.

3:10 p.m. A small wildland fire was reported in the 20000 block of Elkhead Lane, where a model rocket lit a residence's yard on fire. Residents were able to contain the fire before fire crews arrived.

3:37 p.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from the 100 block of West Jefferson Avenue in Hayden.

5:10 p.m. A possible fire or explosion was reported in the 100 block of Seventh Street. Everything was fine; the smoke and noise witnesses reported was caused by a diesel generator turning on during a power outage. Power was returned to the area within half an hour.

6:36 p.m. Three four-wheelers were reported on the road near mile marker 22 on Routt County Road 129, north of Clark. Sheriff's Office deputies gave a warning.

7:09 p.m. Theft was reported from a storage unit on C.R. 25 in Oak Creek. Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating.

7:20 p.m. A possible fire was reported on Carbon Avenue in Oak Creek. Everything was fine.

7:48 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane in Hayden. Everything was fine.

7:49 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. There were no injuries. Police took a report.

9:08 p.m. A bear was reported in the 33700 block of Lone Pine Trail. The animal was gone when Sheriff's Office deputies arrived.

10:08 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 30000 block of C.R. 14. Sheriff's Office deputies took a report.

10:09 p.m. A drunken driver was reported at 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue. A Nebraska man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and weaving.

10:25 p.m. Domestic violence was reported in Steamboat Springs. Police are investigating.

11:12 p.m. A possible fire was reported near mile marker 118 on U.S. 40, where smoke was hovering over the roadway. There was no fire; the smoke is believed to have been fog.

11:13 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 33700 block of Canyon Court. Everything was fine.

11:14 a.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported near mile marker 111 on U.S. 40.

11:51 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 27200 block of Brandon Circle in Steamboat II. Everything was fine.
