Volunteers sought for balloon rodeo in July

— The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is seeking volunteers for the annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, from 5 to 10 a.m. July 12 and 13. No experience is necessary. Volunteers receive a free 2008 event T-shirt. Call Kristi at 875-7006 or stop by the Steamboat Springs Visitor Center at 1255 S. Lincoln Ave. to sign up.

Artists, sponsors needed for The Bust of Steamboat

Organizers of The Bust of Steamboat are accepting sponsors and artists to create unique bra designs for a live auction during this year's event, from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Three Peaks Bar & Grill. To see past entries and auctions, visit Sponsorships are a tax-deductible donation of $350 to the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and include two tickets to the event. All the money raised stays in Routt and Moffat counties to help uninsured and under-insured women pay for mammograms, annual wellness exams and breast cancer treatment costs. Registration still open for Rally for the Cure tourney

Sign-up space is available for the ninth annual Rally For The Cure/Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project Golf Tournament, which begins with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 15 at the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club (formerly the Sheraton Golf Club). All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund & Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project. The format is 18-hole scramble play and includes contests.
