Healthy living class coming to Hayden

Steamboat Springs — Aging Well, a program of Northwest Colorado VNA, is offering "Healthier Living: Managing Ongoing Health Conditions," a free, six-session workshop designed to help with the challenges that face anyone living with an ongoing health condition. The workshop will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursdays from Jan. 31 to March 6 at the Hayden Public Library. Classes are open to individuals with chronic disease as well as those who support, love or care for them. Space is limited. Please register in advance by calling the Aging Well Program at 871-7676.

Teen of the Month nominations sought

The Steamboat Springs Optimist Club is accepting applications for its Teen of the Month program. Area high school students can pick up applications from school counselors or call Rob MacCarthy at 871-7179. The Teen of the Month program culminates in a recognition dinner in May for all of the teens and their parents, and a scholarship is awarded to the student chosen as Teen of the Year.

Help needed to oversee local Web site

Yampavalley.info needs volunteers to oversee sections of its Web site. Anyone who loves the Web and has local knowledge could become a manager of the site's Natural Resources and Environment Center, Local Lore, or Recreation Center information pages. Managers maintain links, add new information, answer online questions and serve as an expert resource for information about the community. Steamboat Art Museum needs volunteers

The Steamboat Art Museum needs volunteers to work two- or three-hour shifts between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. All volunteers will be trained. Call Nancy Westphale at 846-0504 or the museum at 870-1755 for more information.
