12:57 a.m. A disturbance was reported in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive, where a group of sledders got into a verbal and physical altercation with a group of passersby. Steamboat Springs police said everyone involved declined medical treatment and declined to press charges.

1:09 a.m. A noise complaint was received from the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway, where an outdoor sound system had been mistakenly left on overnight. The music was turned off.

1:20 a.m. A domestic dispute was reported in Steamboat Springs. The incident was cleared as a verbal-only argument. Police took a report.

1:43 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle, where an intoxicated man was trying to flag down passing vehicles and start fights with the occupants, police said. The man was given a courtesy ride to his residence.

2:01 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported from the 2800 block of Village Drive, where two or three men were seen entering a construction site. The men were gone before police arrived.

4:12 a.m. Horses were reported on the road in the 39000 block of C.R. 53 in Hayden. The road was cleared.

10:12 a.m. Theft was reported in the 2300 block of AprÃs Ski Way, where an undisclosed amount of cash was removed from the front desk at a condominium complex. Police are investigating.

10:25 a.m. Two dogs at large were reported on Savoy Place. The dogs were taken to the animal shelter.

12:01 p.m. A one-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 300 block of Blue Sage Circle, where a vehicle slid into a snow bank. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

12:32 p.m. Theft was reported in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive, where cash was removed from an unattended backpack. Police are investigating.

1:02 p.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported near mile marker 5 on C.R. 14.

3:18 p.m. Two dogs at large were reported on Colo. 131 north of Oak Creek. The dogs were taken to the animal shelter.

4:18 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at Mount Werner Road and Steamboat Boulevard. Police took a report.

5:08 p.m. Police assisted a stuck school bus in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

5:41 p.m. Sheriff's Office deputies assisted a motorist at U.S. 40 and C.R. 52.

5:46 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at Burgess Creek Road and Mount Werner Circle. Police issued a citation.

6:09 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 21400 block of Colo. 131 in Phippsburg. Everything was fine.

6:48 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 2200 block of Storm Meadows Drive. Everything was fine.

Why is it that at that an intoxicated individual causing problems was escorted home and not to jail? Shouldn't he have been arrested for public intox?
