Oh,Just a warning for shooting off the hwy???? . I thought everyone with a hunting license should know, No shooting from a vehicle or a public road ..Maybe if you are shooting coyotes it's different rules. In hunting season (deer and elk) if you shoot of the road you get a ticket, not a warning.

Maybe he was shooting at tin cans, target, tree branch, etc., don't need a hunting license for that.

justathought,,, doesn't matter what he was shooting at. If you are old enought to have a gun you are old enought to pay attention to the laws. You can't tell me that there haven't about been enough stories about shooting from public roads that they knew it was against the law.

pinion,

Amen to that. If you have a weapon respect is the key principle.

Always keep your weapon pointed down range.

Always double check to see if it is loaded

Always double check to see if it is loaded

Never open fire within 200 ft of a public road.

Sport shooter, hunter or 16 year old with a twenty two every owner of a firearm needs to be trained.

In Wyoming you can shoot a preditor from anywhere. As long as it's not human.

But you are in co now. This law is for the safety of all travelers on the road. If you are in such a hurry to shoot that you can't wait to get off of the road you aren't going to exercise complete caution.
