Snowmobiler hurt in accident

Steamboat Springs — An unidentified out-of-state man was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a snowmobile accident in northern Routt County.
Routt County Search and Rescue personnel responded to the Seedhouse Road area at about 5 p.m. Monday, spokesman Darrel Levingston said. Levingston said the man was snowmobiling with friends at the time of the accident. He described the man's injuries as serious but not life-threatening.
Search and Rescue members were on scene tending to the injured man by 6:30 p.m. He was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center at about 7:30 p.m.
